Yes, we have your child's best interest in mind when it comes to safety and security. All of our volunteers are background checked and fingerprinted. At Horizon we also have a smooth, organized and efficient check-in and pick-up process using a security tag system so you can feel confident that your children are safe in the care of competent and diligent people. Our Safety Team partners with our Kids Team to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming atmosphere for your kids!

When you arrive, our Kids Team will be ready to assist you with check in and welcome your family! Children ages 3 months to 5 years will be in the classrooms located in the main church building. Kids who are 6 years old to 5th grade will be in Kids Church which is in the building next door! If you have a preteen in 6th grade, check out our Horizon Youth section to learn more about Horizon Middle School.

Your family and your children are important to us! During your first visit, we ask for the following information to ensure a secure check-in for your child: Parent/legal guardian names, children's names and birthdates, address, phone number and any special instructions (allergies, special needs, etc.). This is to maintain a secure check-in and pick-up process for your child.

Upon checking in, your child will be given a sticker security tag to wear with their name and a specific 4-digit code that matches the one on your tag. If your child needs you during the Worship Experience, you will see, for instance, "Parent of child A1B2" pop up on the screens in the main auditorium with your matching 4-digit code. 

We have a room at the back of the auditorium dedicated to providing a space for parents with babies, equipped with a changing table and a sound-proof window so the Worship Experience can be viewed in comfort. This room can be accessed through the door located in our Little Kids Lobby.
